Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Capote.

Philip Seymour Hoffman in Capote (2005) Movie Image

Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Capote really impressed me with his performance after finally watching the film from beginning to end after only seeing bits and pieces over the years. What  impressed me the most is that a lot of  Bio Pic performances of them just come off  as just an over the top Impersonation.

Well Hoffman is one of the few great ones that brakes that , he gets what a great Bio Pic performance right as he is never over the top  and never out of character.  On top of making Capote a very interesting character at that.

Hoffman also caries this film on his shoulders and has a lot of emotions to go threw and mannerism and even a voice that he could have failed with but he still does all of these flawless and not braking out of character.

In the film Capote , he is writing a book , In Cold Blood , about a murder case of two men , Perry Smith and Dick Hickock , a good bit of the film  shows Capote in prison talking and befriending one of the man to get his story.

A lot of the film really brings out his personally , even when he is just joking around and smoking you can not take your eyes of him. He also as a very emotional scene at the end that is just amazing.

I can go on about this performance but I would be setting here all day , but I will say that this is EXACTLY how a Bio Pic performance should be and Hoffman nails it.
